【INTENDED USE】
The kit is used to qualitatively detect the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) nucleocapsid protein antigen in human nasal swab samples in vitro. In the acute phase of infection, antigens are usually detectable in upper respiratory tract specimens.
The kit is used for individuals with suspected SARS-CoV-2 infection in conjunction with clinical presentation and the results of other laboratory tests, also for asymptomatic people who have been in contact with infected individuals or with people who are suspected to be infected.
The kit is used by untrained laypersons between 15 and 70 years old. For children (above 2 years old) and elderly people above 70 years old or other people who are unable to perform the testing on their own, the test shall be done by adults or under their supervision.
In case of positive test results, further confirmation is required. Negative results do not rule out the possibility of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
